To deliver the mobility experiences of the future, AFEELA employs an innovative E/E^*1 architecture. AFEELA’s E/E architecture connects the vehicle’s ECUs^*2 and sensors through an advanced network, maximizing overall vehicle performance. AFEELA emphasizes IVI^*3 and AD/ADAS^*4 experiences, incorporating Qualcomm Technologies’“Snapdragon® Digital Chassis™” SoC^*5 to form its E/E architecture, utilizing multiple SoCs between IVI and AD/ADAS. The system prioritizes data access across domains and the new architecture is designed to centralize multiple functions, instead of having separate ECUs for each function. With this setup, external data captured by AD/ADAS sensors can be immediately transmitted to the IVI system for rendering as 3D graphics. Furthermore, the IVI system leverages the latest Unreal Engine to create a virtual space, enabling the flexible and innovative camera work it is known for. In 3D map development, we merged HERE Technologies’ global map data and navigation application expertise, Epic Games’ cinematic grade virtual space technology, and AFEELA’s exceptional accessibility to vehicle data. Together, these elements deliver an experience full of reality. In the future, the platform for ADAS views and 3D maps will be made available to numerous creators and developers, fostering the creation of innovative experiences. The inclusion of multiple high-performance SoCs allows for ongoing enhancements to functionality via software updates over time.
